April 2007, the 1st 6 weeks of payment is 90% of the employees average weekly
earnings. The remaining 33 weeks will be paid at £112.75. If the
employee average pay is less than £112.75, then they will get the lesser rate
for the remaining 33 weeks.

Statutory Sick Pay Employees aged under 16 will be eligible for SSP. Employees over 65 who were previously sick can now be paid SSP through your company from 1st October onwards as SSP would have been disallowed for the previous periods. However, 3 Waiting Days will need to be served first. Therefore for employees over 65 working Mon-Fri, the first payable day of SSP is 5/10/2006. because £5.05 increases to £5.35 for adults. £4.25 increases to £4.45 for 18-21
