... I used to use Sage and then I found a brilliant Payroll bureau that specialises in GP surgeries, so I subcontracted just the payroll to them, and kept the rest of the accounts on Sage. We just email a timesheet with any overtime each month and they produce the payroll, email us the net amounts to BACS and send copies of payslips and summary reports in the post. When we have awkward queries to do with tax allowances, SMP, etc they can deal with them instantly because they're doing it all the time. They also deal with all the end of year returns. We have 15 employed staff and up to 4 registrars at any one time. I would never go back to doing it myself!.

New PAYE Registrations
Online help if you are starting a new  surgery. We will register your surgery with HM Revenue & Customs for PAYE. We will also register your surgery with the NHS Pension Agency obtaining a new GP Reference for NHS Pension purposes.
