We are a well established company with over 10 years trading in payroll administration.   The individual must have a basic knowledge of payroll and pension administration with some knowledge of current Revenue & Customs statutory legislation eg: as sick pay, maternity/paternity pay,  P46/P45 joiners, P45 leavers, Tax/National Insurance calculations and holiday administration.

Duties to be performed

  • Processing employee joiner forms from the internet including P45 or P46

  • Accurate keying in payroll figures and changes from timesheets submitted

  • Calculating any changes such as sick pay, maternity pay, holiday pay, pay increases, backdated pay increases or pension

  • Accurate keying in of legislative changes such as Tax codes, Tax credits, Student loans, Child support, Attachment of Earnings

  • Maintaining accurately the clients database 8. Accurate retrieving and filing of clients records

Our systems complies with the ISO9000 standard therefore the job will suit someone who already have the required knowledge in working with established payroll systems. Ideally, you will currently be training towards a payroll qualification. 

We are an Investor In People recognised employer who will provide help in training.  The ideal candidate must be hard working, able to meet deadlines, have excellent communication skills, is well spoken, has a lively personality and able to adopt a common sense approach to solve queries.

 


 


References & Qualifications
Suitable references from previous employers is required plus copies of your qualifications.

Minimum 1 year proven experience in Payroll processing is essential.  Applicant will ideally be working towards a payroll qualifications at AAT, NVQ or IPPM level though this is not essential provided you have the  minimum payroll experience.  We will provide in-house payroll training.  

ACCA exemptions are not suitable and all references will be checked prior to engagement.

Experience preparing payroll for doctors surgeries with the NHS Pension Scheme is ideal but not essential.

Experience in using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Typing, Communication and basic IT skills is essential.
