Why Do I need to Outsource?

Many companies outsource their payroll as they do not have the time to keep up with the now complex PAYE tax and pension legislation.  Managed payroll services includes reconciliations, calculating your PAYE tax bill, submission of pension and HMRC PAYE annual returns, support and advice on payroll legislation.

Choosing the right payroll services provider for your business is crucial. Do not be swayed by payroll service companies that only charge £15 per month. Often these low rates are for a processing only service. 

If you are looking for managed payroll service provider, look a stable provider with a high client retention, years of experience, qualified staff and quality accreditations. Look at our payroll case history then decide for yourself.

Many bureaus with very low cost basic services will charge a lot more for additional services such as electronic email payslips, enveloped wageslips, posting payslips direct to employees addresses, BACS transfers and so on.  Our PAYE service is fully managed professionally in-house.  We do not offshore nor do we re-outsource this activity.

 


Changing Payroll Supplier?

If your answer is NO to more than 5 of these questions then you should seriously consider outsourcing or changing your current provider.

Payroll Administration Experience - Are you using a company who's  only business activity is providing payrolls for small companies?

Is your payroll supplier BACS approved or ISO9000 accredited?

Is the person responsible for your payroll fully qualified with The Institute Of Payroll & Pensions Management?

Does your payroll supplier invest in their staff payroll qualification training to Investors In People Standards?

Does the company have more than 10 years payroll experience in your business sector which can be proven by existing clients real references? 

Does the company specialise in small businesses payroll but also have the infrastructure to accommodate should your staff numbers increases or if you purchase other companies? 

If you employ 50 or less staff, did you receive the HMRC online filing incentive last year or will you get it this year?

Help Desk - Does the company provide a helpdesk open all day from 9.30-5.30 Mon-Fri and online support 24 hrs 7 days per week? 

Can you rely on the organisation to get it right when it comes to complex payroll issues?  

References and Costs - Can you trust the organisation to charge you a competitive fixed price for the same comparable service without imposing hugh price increases once they have got you?  

Is the company happy to provide real references from existing clients in your field of business or locality? 

NHS Doctors Surgeries -  Is your NHS Pension Scheme data scan up to-date. i.e has your cyclic updates been submitted every year?

Risk Management - Do you have more than one person responsible for the payroll to cover for holidays?

Can you rely on your organisation data storage facilities, contingency plans and compliance with the Data Protection Act?
